Meet Luna

I am a dance educator, choreographer, and Pilates movement instructor dedicated to helping dancers build strong technique, artistry, confidence, and a healthy relationship with their bodies. My work integrates dance training, body conditioning, and somatic awareness to support expressive, efficient, and sustainable movement.

Rooted in Chinese classical and Mongolian dance traditions, and informed by modern and contemporary movement practices, my teaching bridges Eastern and Western movement approaches. I work with children and adults at different stages of training, whether preparing for performances and competitions, building technical foundations, or developing greater body awareness and expressive confidence.

My classes are known for their detail, structure, and strong student engagement. Widely appreciated by students and families in the East Bay dance community, my teaching combines technical rigor with artistry, musicality, and individualized support. Students under my coaching have received top awards at dance competitions in the United States.

Alongside dance instruction, I integrate Pilates-based conditioning and Progressing Ballet Technique® (PBT) principles to support alignment, flexibility, coordination, strength, and injury prevention. I am currently completing the Polestar® Pilates Comprehensive training while pursuing my MFA in Dance at Saint Mary’s College of California, where my graduate research explores somatic movement and embodied learning. Through a research initiative led by Professor Rosana Barragán, I study one-on-one with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, founder of Body-Mind Centering®, deepening my understanding of movement, learning, and body awareness.

I began professional dance training at age six within a cultural lineage deeply connected to Mongolian dance traditions and have performed internationally, including appearances at the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in Beijing, the Chinese-Russian College Students Art Festival in Moscow, and a month-long Mongolian dance residency in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. My artistic work has also received international recognition, including a Gold Award at the International Folk Art Festival in Belgium, alongside first-prize recognitions in dance competitions in China. These experiences continue to shape both my artistic voice and the way I mentor students today.
